DV Ocean is an AI assembly engine that consumes GPU time and paid third-party AI quota the moment a render begins. This policy explains when you can request a refund, when you cannot, and how to cancel your subscription.
1. Seven-day refund window for unused subscriptions
DV Ocean offers a 7-day refund window if zero video minutes have been generated on your account. If you subscribed within the last 7 days, have not rendered a single video minute, and would like your money back, email support@dv-ocean.comfrom the address on your account and we’ll refund the most recent subscription charge in full.
2. No refunds once render minutes have been consumed
Because every render consumes GPU compute, AI API quota, and library bandwidth that we pay for in real time, all sales are final the moment any render job has started. This includes:
- Renders that completed successfully but which you are dissatisfied with on editorial or stylistic grounds;
- Renders that failed because of inputs you provided (poor audio quality, ambiguous scripts, mis-transcribed accents);
- Unused allowance at the end of a billing cycle (minutes do not roll over);
- Subscription periods after the first 7 days, regardless of usage.
If a render fails because of a verifiable defect in the Service (not in your inputs), we will, at our discretion, credit you the equivalent allowance for re-running it. Email support@dv-ocean.comwith the project ID and we’ll investigate.
3. Cancel any time
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the account billing portal, or by emailing support@dv-ocean.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to the Service and your remaining monthly minutes through that period, and you won’t be charged again. See our full cancellation policy for step-by-step instructions.
4. Chargebacks
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at support@dv-ocean.com before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We respond to refund requests within 2 business days and can usually resolve billing disputes faster than the chargeback process. Chargebacks filed without first contacting support may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
5. Annual plans
Annual plans are eligible for the same 7-day refund window: if you subscribed to an annual plan within the last 7 days and have generated zero video minutes, we’ll refund the full annual charge. After day 7 or after the first render, annual plans are non-refundable and convert to standard subscription behavior — you keep access for the full annual term, and cancellation prevents renewal but doesn’t prorate the remaining months.
6. How to request a refund
Email support@dv-ocean.com from the address associated with your DV Ocean account. Include:
- The date of the charge you’d like refunded;
- The last 4 digits of the card used (or the Paddle order ID);
- A brief note confirming you have not generated any video minutes.
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle, our payment provider, and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
